Guest Post: Girl Loves Glam!

McKenzie from Girl Loves Glam is super creative, and we love creative peeps! Enjoy her guest post today!

Hello Paisley readers!
I am so excited to be with you today! I am McKenzie from Girl Loves Glam.
I love to blog about tutorials, fashion, and my life in general! I just became a momma and I love the crazy adventure it has already been juggling feedings and naps in with running an Etsy shop, blogging, and keeping my sanity! Luckily, I love what I do!

I came over to Paisley Interiors today to share some of my favorite Valentine's Day items that I have found on Etsy with you! You might just even find the perfect gift for your Valentine!
If you haven't already purchased your Valentine's gifts, think about purchasing them from an Etsy shop! Not only are they all handmade or vintage (who doesn't love both of them!!), but you are helping someone build their own small business! It is a win, win. Thank you for letting me play with you guys! Happy Love Day!

Valentine's Crafts - Sarah from Crafting and Creativity

Today we are pleased to introduce Sarah! She has an amazing blog and she is super creative. We are so lucky to be able to work with her. Enjoy her post and make sure you check out her blog!

Hey everyone, I'm excited to be here at Paisley Interiors today!

I'm Sarah & I blog over at Crafting and Creativity.

I love making simple and pretty things.

I love creating things for my kids or for our home.
And I love to organize.

I love browsing Pinterest for inspiration.

I was inspired by this on Pinterest & wanted to make my own version. Here's what I did......

I wanted to fill this white frame that was now empty after the holidays...

I grabbed a piece of grey linen & then made a heart with some pink buttons.

I just set the buttons on & moved them around until it looked like a heart. Then I glued them in place with my trusty glue gun!

Instead of somehow making this permanent in the frame, I just wrapped the linen around the glass, then stuck it all back inside the frame.

After Valentine's Day, I can just store the piece of fabric with my decorations, then my frame will be ready to fill for Easter!

This literally took 5 minutes to make & I love the result!

The subway art was a printable that I framed last year from eighteen25.

The little rosette ball was made by gluing rosettes I made using crepe paper streamers onto a foam ball, then I stuck it on a candle holder.

And because yesterday was kinda gloomy out, it was hard taking decent photos. So my frame even made a trip outside for a quick photo....

I love having some pink stuff up in my home!!!!

Last year I put together some little bubbles to give to the kids in my class at church for Valentine's Day.
{see the original post here}

This year I need to come up with something new for them. I teach the same group of kids, but the class has doubled. So stay tuned for what I come up with, as well as some other Valentine's Day goodness at my blog in the coming weeks!

Hope to see you over at Crafting and Creativity soon!

Thanks to Stephanie & Risa for having me!!

Pine Cone Pinspiration Project

This week's Pinspiration Project was inspired by this pin:

Items needed:
Pine Cones

 Beads and string/ribbon/raffia (your choice)

 Spray Paint

What to do:
1. Spray Paint the pine cones of your liking.
2. Glue sting/ribbon/raffia (your choice) to each end of the pine cones. Use a hot glue gun, and make sure to not burn yourself. I happened to create a blister on our ancient glue gun that was created before heat regulations were put in place.
3. String beads on each end of the pine cone.

4. Tie knots and cut off extra string.

Simple, right?
You could hang them almost anywhere for a little winter decor.
Windows. Mantels. Bookcases.

Guest Post: Brittany Stiles!

We have a guest post today from the lovely
Brittany Stiles! What a treat!

There are so many great gift guides circling around the cyber world that I thought I would throw my own in to the mix. I think it's fun to put together gift guides based on peoples' interests and personal style. I geared this round up of gift ideas toward the creative, artist types that may be on your shopping list. Happy giving!

xo,

Brittany

Christmas Decor

I've been thinking about holiday decor... mostly because I really want to decorate but feel this anxiety over decorating because we don't know if we'll be moving... Friends keep asking what we are doing after graduation is over...
and if they think they're confused, imagine how we feel!

Needless to say, I haven't decorated to my full capacity.

But a girl can dream, right?

For those of you who feel settled and comfortable, how are you decorating for Christmas?
